A crew for the well-worn — training smarter, adventuring longer.
TrailFurther is a newsletter for masters trail runners and gravel riders — field notes and essays on aging well, together.

Who's Trailfurther?
We're Paul & Susan. Like you, we're figuring out how to age as athletes — managing injuries, chasing goals, and trying to do it with joy and gratitude.
For over a decade, we've trained, raced, and built self-supported adventures into a life that doesn't look like most. We wrote about it under the Dirty Good Co. name for years. But as our focus morphs — less "adventure for its own sake," more "how do we keep exploring through our 50s, 60s, and beyond" — TrailFurther felt like the truer name.
We're not slowing down so much as learning to be more deliberate about how we spend our effort. We process endurance and longevity research with our unique experiential lens, and share what we believe is worth your time. But our adventures aren’t driven by science; they’re inspired by the beauty we find outdoors and the connection to ourselves, others, and nature that trails offer. That's what you'll find here — no hype, no hacks, just real-life experiences on foot and by bike, and what's actually working for us and the athletes we talk to.
