Howdy! We’re Paul & Susan. We write essays, field guides, and training plans to help masters athletes build durability and get out further—while embracing a more deliberate pace. Join us for insights, advice, training plans and endurance + longevity stories that matter.

Our mission

Encourage / Encourage well-worn, vintage trail enthusiasts (athletes) to embrace a slower, but more deliberate, pace.

Educate / Educate on trail etiquette and the responsibility of being good stewards of our natural playground.

Prepare / Prepare athletes for better adventures and equip them to get out further.

We also publish and manage a race listings directory — RaceCenter.com. Memberships support our network of freely accessible work.

Our mission is to build a knowledge collective for well-worn, but durable endurance athletes, where curiosity thrives and learning never stops. We aspire to help athletes get out further on trails, gravel roads and mountain passes, while building resilience and increasing longevity and healthspan.
